My first trip out of the county was a learning experience. Katie and I learned what to do and what not to do, even when just taking two days. We spent way too much time trying to find certain locations and failing. It was great fun though. Canadians are extremely nice people. I could see myself living there -- although not so much the area we were in. Downtown Vancouver never goes to sleep. Even on Sunday night at 2:00 AM there were many, many people in the streets bar hopping.
Two days doesn't seem like quite enough time to explore such a huge place, unfortunately. We had great fun on Valentines day going to our first bar ever. And the next day we had a great exploration to the beach and a different area of Downtown Vancouver, but it seems like we missed a whole lot. I think next time we go we'll try a new area and take more time to do it.
We also stopped in Bellingham, WA going both ways. I love Bellingham. It's a beautiful city way up north about an hours drive from Canada. You can see by the pictures how pretty it is there. I wouldn't mind moving there to go to the University.
Other than Vancouver nothing exciting has happened. I'm still just working at Puget Sound Energy and trying to save up money to get out into our own apartment and start taking college classes. I'm starting to get a little antsy about living in Katie's parents house. I like having my own space. When here I don't have that luxury.
